Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc has been admired for its cable making expertise for over 50 years. We have established ourselves as the leader and pioneer in the Nigerian cable and wire market because of our drive for excellence in quality of products and passion for innovation. Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc was founded in 1966 by Kabelmetal, Hannover, Germany which is part of Nexans today. Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc remains a Nexans affiliate Company therefore.
Our head office and manufacturing facility is located at Ikeja, Lagos. We are the largest cable manufacturer of power and instrumentation cables in the West African sub region. Benefiting from our parent company’s cable making expertise of over 100 years manufacturing experience, our Company provides the nerves and sinews of the Nigerian economy.
The development of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for low voltage insulated cables in the 80s opened the door to new market segments, including the oil and gas market. The introduction of airfield lighting cables and cables with enhanced fire performance features in the following years further strengthened our product range and expanded our customer base.
Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc was the first cable manufacturer in Nigeria, certified to ISO 9000 in the year 2000. We are also a Nigerian Industrial Standards (NIS) Diamond Award winner. Our products conform to IEC standards, Nigerian Industrial Standards and other EU standards. The company recently acquired the certifications from Lloyd’s Register and Bureau Veritas to produce shipboard cables.
Today, Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc is the most advanced quality cable and wire manufacturer in the West African Sub Saharan region. As an innovator in cable products in Nigeria, we serve a wide range of industry groups, including oil and gas, manufacturing, process, business and residential construction and of course power utilities. Our product range covers low voltage power, instrumentation and control cables. Cables for power distribution and several special cables supplement our product portfolio.

Dr. Eric Waldner
Dr. Eric Waldner is a French National and has over 30 years’ experience in Industrial Management. He holds Doctor in Electrochemistry at CNRS (Dijon) 1984 and an MBA (CPA in EM Lyon, Cente de Perfectionnement des Affaires) 2000.
Tunde Orija
Orija Tunde John is currently the Executive Director- Finance in Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc (Nexans Affiliated Company), Ikeja. Lagos. He joined the company as the General Manager/Chief Financial Officer in November 2014.
Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo
Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Motors Ltd. He has a wide range of experience having served on the board of several companies, including VT Leasing Limited, Meyer Plc., Greenwich Trust Limited, GTL Trustees Limited, Funds Electronic Transfer Systems Limited, Oasis Insurance Plc, TMJ Properties Limited and Kabelmetal Nigeria Plc.
Jagdish Mohan Jethvani
Mr. Jethvani is currently the Managing Partner/COO/CFO of Emmyson Group of Companies, Lagos, Nigeria, which is one of the largest and the most reputable Group of companies in Nigeria since 1985.
